Goshen Valley Boys Ranch Supports

Every month at the Scott Mill outreach, Goshen Valley Boys Ranch brings a van full of donated clothes.  They not only bring clothes, but a lot of helping hands.  Forever Fed is very appreciative of Goshen Valley's enduring support and all of the clothes donators.

Does She Know?

We've been serving meals monthly to Kid's Bible Club in Woodstock since August 2010. Last night I saw a little girl I first met in the Pre-K room last year, her picture is one of the many on our promotional video on our website. She passed me in the hallway with a smile on her face and a bounce in her step on her way to her classroom. The memory of her smile and 'bouncy Kindergarten Girl' walk warmed my heart all night long. This child radiated happiness and love.

As I went to bed last night I wondered, "Does this little girl have any idea of how much effort these KBC volunteers put forth in teaching her about the love of Jesus? Does it ever occur to her the hours of work that happen behind the scenes for Forever Fed to bring her a meal? Does she know most of the volunteers she encountered last night actually worked a full day at a job and then rushed to make it to KBC on time?"

Between KBC and Forever Fed there must have been at least 30-40 volunteers involved in making last night happen and I continue to be amazed by God's handiwork on the first Tuesday of each month.
Over the last year and a half I've witnessed nothing but good things happening at Kid's Bible Club. For me, the most amazing thing about KBC is that I'm the one blessed by serving. The children are thankful, the volunteers are smiling, and the love of Jesus permeates the entire event.

I am so very blessed to be able to serve along side these volunteers. I know it's often a battle for them to get to this event and I know not every day goes smoothly prior to their arrival, yet they still show up ready to serve. These volunteers are truly the hands and feet of Christ.

Most of all, I know that the smile on this one little girl's face last night was a gift to me. She may not ever know or appreciate the many hours of labor involved in making her KBC experience happen. She may never remember the names or faces of the many volunteers she encountered. But I do know this. With out a doubt, this child knows she is greatly loved. I am humbled and even honored to be one of the many people who witnessed her radiant smile.

God is good!

Forever Fed provides a meal to 200+ children attending Kid's Bible Club in Woodstock on the First Tuesday of each month. If you'd like to be a part of this event please click on the "volunteer" tab and fill out a small bit of information. We'll be contacting you soon!

Grace 17:20 - Make a Difference Mondays

We continue to have blessings poured on Forever Fed.  Grace 17:20, a restaurant in Norcross, is sponsoring Forever Fed in their "Make a Difference Mondays" for all of November.   So, for the entire month, Grace 17:20 will donate 10% of their Monday sales to Forever Fed.  Very cool!!

What's even cooler is knowing how this came about.   Kathy Dillon, one of the tireless Forever Fed army leaders, was at Sam's getting supplies for a Forever Fed event.  It happened that Barbara DiJames, owner of Grace 17:20, was there and noticed Kathy's Forever Fed t-shirt and they struck up a conversation.   Barbara has long list of charities that want to participate in the Monday donation program.  In fact, Barbara said that she has enough candidates to last for over a year, but she felt compelled to support Forever Fed.  Thank you, Barbara.

My sister, Cindy Kinkaid, another Forever Fed supporter, and I had an opportunity to try our Grace 17:20 last Friday for a business lunch.  Wow.  What a nice place.  The place is just gorgeous and the food is fantastic.  Please give them a try and spread the word.  If you can, try to go by on a Monday.  If not, definitely give them a try and show your support.

Here is their web site: Grace 17:20 and below is what they sent out to their mail list this Monday.

Again, thanks to Barbara and Terry at Grace 17:20.
